In 2018 I was asked by ZDF Info to dive into my colour perceptions publicly for a little feature called: "Farben hören: Was ist Synästhesie?" . In the same year, Deutschlandfunk Kultur asked me to describe in an interview how César Franck's "Sonata in A major" looks to me. And although the interview went well, I had to realize that day that my words were no longer sufficient to describe the colors and shapes. That was frustrating! Not a nice feeling! So I looked for a new means of expression! I began to paint.
During the Corona crisis, I began to explore colors and shapes. As often as I could, I tried out techniques: Watercolors, oil. In the end it became acrylic. And since I am also by my human
nature rather an abstract type, it became the abstract acrylic painting. Since 2022 I now paint next to the music almost all my perceptions. Among them pieces of music, time units such as
months. My very first series of abstract paintings "The Emotion Series" is about making human emotions visible.
The current original works are all acrylic based and available in sizes of 50cm x 50cm, 80cm x 60cm or 100cm x 70cm. There is also the option to buy each piece as print on canvas.
Each artwork is a unique testimony to the neurodiversity of our human brain and thus humanity. I hope you enjoy my artworks as much as I enjoy making the perceptions they contain visible for the first time.
